We care about this planet

  • Here at I Love LASIK, it’s our role to help you help yourself. We improve your vision so that you can get out there and live the life that you want.

  • But it doesn’t have to end there. What if, together, we could help people in need live the life they deserve too?

  • When you visit I love LASIK, not only will you receive the highest standards of screening, results and aftercare, you will also actively improve the lives of those stricken by poverty.

  • We do this by simply allocating a small but meaningful 10% of every procedure fee to the Amoud Foundation.

We care about this planet

This won’t be news to you – our planet’s in big trouble

Amoud Foundation is an international humanitarian organisation founded in 1998 that helps people in local and global communities in Africa, Asia, North America and South America help themselves through sustainable humanitarian projects.

We feel that the Amoud Foundation aligns perfectly with our ethos here at I Love LASIK, and so, with your help, we want to continue to stretch out a helping hand beyond laser eye surgery to help others.

The Horn of Africa is experiencing the worst drought to hit the region in 60 years, making the availability of food and water terrifyingly scarce. An estimated 17.7 million people are living on the verge of starvation and families must walk hours or even days to get just a few cups of drinking water.

In response to this crisis, the Amoud Foundation supports six ongoing projects:

So far, the Amoud Foundation has provided consistent Dry Food Distributions to those most impacted by the food shortage. It has pioneered in establishing health clinics and hospitals, ensuring that those who can’t afford healthcare, receive the treatment and care they need.

The foundation has also supported dozens of educational initiatives, opened two new schools that will benefit over 1,500 families, and has built a new library that will serve as a valuable resource for those seeking an education.

In addition, the foundation has provided shelter, food, medical access and education to orphans during the humanitarian crisis that has intensified in recent years.

What the Amoud Foundation is doing for these communities is so crucially important, and we believe it is deserving of our help. Therefore, we have chosen to provide a socially conscious approach to providing laser eye surgery that we can all get on board with.

We are proud to share that every year, I Love LASIK and it’s wonderful clients donate 10 water wells worth $4500, that supply an entire small village with water.

I Love LASIK helps you get exceptional natural vision. Together, let’s help get basic human needs in Africa.
